Keely qualified as a primary school teacher in 1997 and founded Leigh Tutoring in 2009.  Over the years there have been a couple of principles that Keely has always placed firmly at the heart of Leigh Tutoring.  Firstly that it is a fun and friendly place to learn, a place where children enjoy working with their peers and most importantly enjoy learning! Secondly,  that no matter what, parents are given honest feedback about their child’s attainment.

Keely says…

“Following a number of years of working in Primary schools, in 2009 I decided to offer after school home tuition for children in Leigh. Starting with just 1 pupil in April 2009, interest grew and by September there were enough pupils to start teaching small groups . It has always been important to keep the group sizes small and so that I was able to continue doing this, Gemma joined as a teacher a few months later.  In June 2010  Leigh Tutoring opened its doors above Devines’ Accountants and shortly after Liz joined the team.  For the next 10 years pupil and teacher numbers continued to grow and in June 2021 Leigh Tutoring took on the whole of the Devines building.”
